Summer is Almost Here!

OWLA’s busy season is upon us. In addition to our ongoing summer work on water sampling, HABs monitoring, and working with the Cayuga County Highway Department to shore up roadside ditches in lake-critical areas, we have three big events coming up. First, on Saturday, May 17 we are hosting the Lake Friendly Living Awareness Day at Emerson Park.

In June we are holding two key events. First on Wednesday, June 4 we will hold our OWLA Annual Meeting. I will present our Annual Report, and we will hold elections for new and returning board members, as well as President Elect.  Also, in June we will hold our annual Business After Five on Wednesday June 18 at the Owasco Yacht Club. We would love to see all our members there. There is more information about all these events in this issue. Thank you for being a fellow steward of Owasco Lake and its watershed!
