Join OWLA and OLWMC for a Volunteer Clean Up Day on May 9th

Join Owasco Watershed Lake Association and the Owasco Lake Watershed Management Council on Saturday, May 9th from 9am - 12pm for an Owasco Watershed Cleanup Day for Mother Earth! Volunteers will remove trash from roadside ditches independently from 9-10:30am, then gather at Emerson Park pavilion at 10:30 am to continue litter cleanup along the lake's northern shoreline. Lunch will be served.

Part 1: various locations around the watershed at 9am

Part 2: meet up at Emerson Park pavilion at 10:30 am

Contact Phil Gioia at drgioia@verizon.net or text/call 315-209-3408 with your name, preferred ditch cleanup location (address or nearest roads), and contact info. Let him know if you need a ride or equipment - volunteers can be grouped by location.

Practicing safety will be the responsibility of those involved while working near roadways. Please cover arms and legs to avoid tick bites and check afterwards for ticks. Volunteers are responsible for bringing their own trash bags, reflective vests, work gloves and sturdy footwear. Please bring bagged trash to the Emerson Park pavilion meetup after the ditch cleanup portion of the event.
